What Happened
A ceremony could not be created for the recipient. This typically occurs when the recipient’s status does not allow a new ceremony (for example, the recipient has already completed signing) or when the envelope is not in the correct state.
How to Fix
- Verify the recipient’s lifecycle status allows a new ceremony. Recipients who have already completed cannot receive a new ceremony.
- Confirm that the envelope is in a state that supports ceremony creation (for example, the envelope must be
started). - Review the Create Ceremony documentation for the full set of requirements.
